It is so funny

how you Bible quoted

your most recent promise

as if this makes it more believable

or trustworthy

or holy.

Nevermind that this promise

is the very thing

you did not do a few weeks ago,

or that you are quoting it in

the context of dismissing

all previous promises

as now null and void.

But like your Father and your Son

and your holy ghost,

you are still hanging onto the con

even while you have a new mark,

and you’ve moved your show to a

new town,
